This paper is written to discuss the five-company concept currently being tested by the 109th MI Battalion and will provide an overview of the organization and operational missions of this battalion, the advantages and disadvantages of this structure as compared to that of the proposed J-Series TOE and provide the author's conclusion as to the usefullness and applicability of this type of organization.
