On the twenty-fifth oif June in 1876 near what is now known as Garryowen, Montana, in the course of the about forty five minutes, five troops of American Cavalry were completely annihilated. THis fight has become known as the Battle of Big Horn or Custer's last stand. In this battle General Heorge Armstong Custer and the approximately two hundered and twenty men with im were killed by hostile warriors from the Sioux Indian nation.
