BG Sinclair discusses the changes in Army aviation from current unit structure to the BAE and MFAB as a result of the recommendations of the Aviation Task Force report. More reliance on UAVs, changes to condition based aviation maintenance, and greater integration of the aviation brigade into the unit of action structure is planned. Changes to doctrine, training, personnel and aircraft are also discussed. The Aviation Modernization Strategy is also outlined.
