2004 awards banquet 28 Jan 2004. Awards winners: E Co., 120th Air Traffic Services, 10th Mountain Aviation Brigade won air traffic control company of the year, Air traffic control facility of the year was C Co, 1st Battalion, 58th Aviation Regiment,Staff Sgt Michael Collins of C Co, 1st Battalion, 58th Aviation Regiment won air traffic control maintenance technician. Air traffic control manager of the year was Sgt. 1st Class Kiti Fowlkes, C Co, 1st Battalion, 58th Avn Regt. Staff Sgt Colt Howland, D Co, 1st Bn, 58th Avn Regt won air traffic controller of the year. Trainer of the year was CW4 Richard Chenault, A Co, 3rd Btn, 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (SOAR). Aviation Branch Cadets of the year were Brian Merkl (USMA) and North Dakota State University, Fargo ROTC cadet Chad Gosney. Fixed wing unit was 1st Btn, 214 Avn Rgt. 1st Btn, 214th Avn Rgt won fixed wing battalion. Army aviation air and sea rescue award winner was MH-47E (Chinook) helicopter crew no. 466, 2nd Btn, 160th SOAR.
