One of the missions that the Army finds itself thrust into more often these days is operating helicopters aboard Navy ships. Elements such as the size of the ship, the size of the aircraft, the sea state, weather, wind, night flight over water, and countless other variables can complicate the operation and make the challenge a quite formidable one.
