"A NATO-tasked multinational force, including about 22,200 U.S. service members, successfully stopped Serbian hostilities against ethnic Albanians in the southern province of Kosovo. Operation Allied Force, which began on March 24, 1999, officially ended on June 20, 1999, following the withdrawal of Serbian troops from Kosovo. The imagery on this CD was collected during the operation by Joint Combat Camera teams composed of Army, Navy, Marine and Air Force photographers"--CD lining notes.
