Forczyk uncovered research to investigate the intense and sometimes barbaric fighting for the Crimea region in World War II, where first a German and then a Soviet army were surrounded and totally obliterated. This work deals with the many unique characteristics of the conflict, such as the naval and amphibious actions of supply, attack and evacuation.
