A deeper study on areas of mineral wealth inside Afghanistan. This and previous studies were made in an effort to help the country locate viable minerals with an eye to the eventual improvement of the country's economy. This study uses GIS (Geographic information system) datasets including geologic, geophysical, and hyperspectral and remotely sensed imagery data to help locate and study possible mineral deposits.
