The articles in volume 1 (May 24, 1983) look at the importance of the Battle of Kursk within the context of the Second World War, the development of strategy and operational arts, the development of defensive tactics, the employment of aviation, and the development of air defense ; the articles in volume 2 (July 1, 1983) trace the role of artillery, Armored troops, Engineer troops, Signal troops, improved logistics and the Party Politic in this decisive Soviet Victory.
