In the town of Roundtree, Massachusetts, the local 'haunted house' stands at Black Creek Crossing. Witches reputedly lived there in the 1600's, and more recently the house was the scene of a grisly double murder. But stories and superstitions don't concern Angel's dysfunctional parents nearly as much as a good deal on a new home. But when Angel and her new friend Seth begin to play at using 'spells' from an old book they find in the attic, they learn that there is always a price to be paid.
