As artillery, rockets, aircraft spray, bombs and mines may be used to deliver chemical agents in the form of gas, liquid or aerosol, challenges on the airland battlefield require Unit Commanders, NCOs and all Unit Personnel to know and understand the importance of individual and Unit training in order to function and fight in a chemically contaminated environment. This program shows and explains actions to be taken before, during and after a chemical attack. It describes the briefing to determine Unit readiness, including factors considered in the MOPP Analysis and METT-T procedure. It also explains MOPP Levels, protective clothing/equipment, decontamination capabilities and pre-attack actions. It explains established procedures for MOPP 4 actions for response during an attack and demonstrates basic skills for decontamination while stalling an enemy attack and reversing the battle favorably. The program also covers protective actions following the attack, including the detection and identification of agents. It explains the NBC Reporting System.
