This program addresses the concern for the ability of fixed installations to survive and operate effectively in a chemical environment. It provides information on an operational concept for improving the NBC Survivability of fixed sites which was developed and demonstrated at Fort McClellan, Ala., and called attention to contamination avoidance, NBC protection and decontamination procedures. The scenario includes the following elements of a contaminated depot : command control, Communications center, Light maintenance (electronics), Heavy maintenance (wheeled vehicles), Ammunition supply point, and Supply activity. Notes hardware arrays and lessons learned regarding individual, collective, and equipment protection.
