Based on a short story by Yi Chʻŏng-jun, the film tells of Yu-bong, a p'ansori master who travels with two adopted children, a daughter and a son. The three troubadours travel throughout the countryside in efforts to perform and develop their artistry while trying to remain true to Yu-bong's interpretation of what qualifies as real p'ansori.
