The "Register of Graduates" is a unique publication with roots that go back to 1846. It contains brief biographies of all graduates of the United States Military Academy and the names of all former cadets who did not graduate. Where provided by the individual graduate, active duty and reserve component military assignments, awards and decorations, and civilian positions are included.

Some issues have specific theme edition titles (1961=Civil War Centennial edition).
