This report presents the results of the Women in the Army Policy Review Group's analysis of Army personnel policies as they relate to mission, combat readiness, quality of life aspects, and the utilization of female enlisted soldiers in the United States Army. Women have historically served the Nation and its Armed Forces with selfless distinction in both peace and war. This service has marked both the growth in number of women in the Army and the proliferation of positions to which they have been assigned. This report is the Review Group's assessment of needed changes in personnel management policies to provide an environment conducive to the continued growth and meaningful service of all soldiers while improving the combat readiness of the Army. The Army's commitment to provide meaningful opportunities for all soldiers remains an organizational imperative.
