From back cover: As the Cold War began, both sides fielded the most advanced designs from World War II, such as the Soviet T-44/T-54 and IS-3, the British Centurion, and America's M26/M46 Pershing. However, these soon gave way to the first postwar generation of tanks including the Soviet T-54A and T-10 heavy tank, British late-model Centurions and the Conqueror, the US Army's M41 Walker Bulldog and M47/M48 Patton, and the French AMX-13.
