From 1966 annual historical summary: Appendix D. Report of Staff Visit, RVN, 2-14 December 1966 -- This annex is basically a reproduction of COL Edward E. Beda's report covering his visit to RVN during the period 2-14 December 1966. It is considered important to OC&S because it points up training requirements precipitated by the Vietnam War. From the 1976 annual historical summary: Highlights (e) -- The USAOC&S was redesignated the U.S. US Army Ordnance and Chemical Center and School (USAOCCS) on 30 November 1976. From the 1979 annual historical summary: Chemical (page 1) -- In 1979 the US Army Chemical School which had been disestablished in 1973 was reestablished at Fort McClellan, Alabama -- Mission Changes (page 10) -- The most significant mission change was the establishment of a separate US Army Chemical School on 14 December 1979 -- Resource Management Office (page 18) -- The USAOCCS was redesignated the USAOC&S effective 14 December 1979.
