The Saar-Moselle triangle is the name which, for purposes of military expediency, has been given to the strip of Germany lying between the Saar and Moselle Rivers. The tactical importance of the Saar-Moselle triangle was considerable both to the attacker and the defender. Table of contents: limited-objective attacks in the Saar-Moselle triangle; the clearing of the triangle; the fall of Trier; seven appendixes; maps (reduction of the Saar-Moselle triangle and capture of Trier, and the 10th Armored Division attack north of the Moselle); and photographs.
