These volumes constitute a history of the India-Burma Theater from the time it was separated from CBI down to the relief of General Sultan as theater commander. Included in this history is a good deal of background material on the predecessor command, CBI, and on other commands in the area. The major activities of the area, aid to China, and the clearing of Northern Burma are well covered. The manuscript is well-documented, has a bibliography, and a large number of appropriate photographs, charts, maps, graphs, and tables.
