Seaborne assault operations are susceptible to such infinite variation that there can be no set solution to the problems encountered. This is particularly true of the air aspect, and the aim of this paper is confined to setting out, in general terms, the air requirements. Summary of contents: aim and scope of pamphlet; the creation of a situation favorable to the assault; air action to protect the convoys; air action to protect and support the assaulting force; and establishment of our air forces ashore.
