In this April 2013 interview, MAJ Marlon Ringo, US Army Engineer Corps, discusses his deployment to Iraq as a captain assigned to an Engineer Regiment Advisor MiTT with 1st BCT, First Cavalry Division during Operation Iraqi Freedom from 2008 to 2009. He begins the interview with a description of his initial pre-deployment training and assignment to advise Iraqi engineers with the 11th Iraqi Division. His initial contact with the 11th Iraqi Division starts from Victory Base in Baghdad and eventually takes him to the Iraqi Ministry of Defense.
