In this March 2013 interview, Maj Will Storms, US Air Force, Acquisitions; discusses his deployment to Afghanistan as a J5 for Task Force Biometrics in 2011 through 2012 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF). Maj Storms describes his first few days into country as he integrated with other individual augmentees from Joint services in support of Task Force Biometrics. He talks about the integration with the other Joint services and shares their working relationship. He details a typical day and describes some difficult challenges. Maj Storm shares some specific memories from his deployment and he closes his interview by stating a lesson learned. Maj Storms says, "The biggest thing I would probably say is just that biometrics is a good tool and I don't think that we, as the DOD, have completely figured out how we want to use it and how to integrate it into our training and doctrine to make it something that's a worthwhile tool to use for identity operations."
