In this March 2011 interview, CH (MAJ) Brad Lewis, US Army, Chaplain; discusses his deployment experience to Afghanistan as a brigade chaplain for 4/25 Brigade Combat Team in 2009 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF). MAJ Lewis describes his daily life in Khost Province, Afghanistan as being Groundhog Day. He discusses his pre-deployment training and talks about how he prepared for his deployment. He describes how he was able to keep in contact with his chaplains and their assistants since they were spread out over Afghanistan. CH (MAJ) Lewis closes his interview by discussing what he would have done differently on his deployment if given another chance, "I would have slowed down a little bit and provided quality ministry as opposed to quantity."
