In this December 2011 interview, student interview MAJ Brian Fencl interviews Armor officer MAJ Ernest (Erin) Hill on his experiences while deployed for the Global War on Terror (GWOT). MAJ Hill discusses all three of his deployments in detail touching on various subjects such as mentorship, leadership, command responsibility, as well as reintegration post-deployment. MAJ Hill concludes his interview by discussing the importance of being adaptable while in combat and that one of the most important things our Army should take out of the experiences in Iraq is that different kinds of fights take different kinds of leadership and that, "We need to be perceptive about when to make that change as leaders."
