MAJ Andre Brown served as a Finance officer with the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) mission in Bosnia and as resource manager (RM) in Kabul, Afghanistan during 2010 and 2001 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF). In this April 2012 interview, MAJ Brown discusses his transfer from Armor to Finance, the nature of the NATO mission in Bosnia and his role, and the complexities of Finance operations during a drawdown of forces. MAJ Brown concludes his interview with the observation, "I've been doing this 18 years in September; enlisted and as an officer and I've enjoyed every bit of it. In 18 years you get used to the rhythm of the military. I have no qualms; I knew what I was getting into when I was raising my right hand. I love it and I continue to do it. No issues."
