MAJ Andrew Deponai served on a stability transition team (STT) advising the Iraqi Army (IA) in Ba'qubah, Iraq during 2010 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF). In this April 2012 interview, MAJ Deponai discusses his training and preparation, the transition to Iraqi led operations that was occurring at the time of the handoff, and his experience working with the Iraqis. MAJ Deponai concludes his interview with the observation, " It was a good experience overall. Hopefully, the few points I shared and anyone who reads this transcript will get something out of it."
