In this interview, MAJ Christopher Miller, US Army, Infantry; discusses his deployment to Afghanistan as an embedded tactical trainer (ETT) for 41st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group in 2006 through 2007 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF). MAJ Miller talks about volunteering for deployment and learning about his assignment once he got in country. He describes the make up of his four-man ETT team and details each team member's role. He describes the relationship he had with the Afghanistan National Army (ANA) and talks about providing training for them and discusses his interaction with the locals. MAJ Morris describes some difficult challenges he faced and talks about communication back home while he was deployed. MAJ Miller closes his interview by stating, "My experience in Afghanistan was a life changing."
