MAJ Anthony Parker served in an advise and assist brigade (AAB) with 3rd Brigade, 4th Infantry Division (ID) in Basra, Iraq during 2010 and 2011 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF). In this February 2012 interview, MAJ Parker discusses his Army career spanning from 1976 to the present, the changes he noted over that time, and the challenges of working with an AAB and during the drawdown of American forces in Iraq. MAJ Parker concludes his interview with the observation, "We have to be, like they say, more nimble and more agile. We need to be prepared for anything because the bottom line is that's what we're here for. That's what we do. Not only our families but our nation depends on us to do that. We're not doing them justice if we just concentrate on one particular area."
