In this interview, MAJ Mason Wilson, US Army, Signal Corps; discusses his five month deployment to Afghanistan as a company commander in 2009 through 2010 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF). MAJ Wilson discusses his pre-deployment training and describes his reaction when he first arrived in country. MAJ Wilson shares a typical day in theater and describes his major responsibilities while in country. MAJ Wilson talks about how he was able to boost morale with his Soldiers and closes his interview by stating, “Leaders need to remain adaptive, flexible and vigilant to everything that's expected to be done."
