In this interview, MAJ Wade German, US Army, Field Artillery; discusses his deployment to Iraq as the executive officer (XO) on a Military Transition Team (MiTT) in 2009 through 2010 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF). MAJ Germann discusses a typical day in theater and describes his relationship with the Iraqi Federal Police unit that he worked alongside. MAJ Germann talks about some difficult challenges and defines his successes from his deployment experience. MAJ Germann compares his two deployments to Iraq and closes his interview by stating, "It's crucial for leaders to continue to push down information to the lowest Soldier."
