In this August 2009 interview MAJ James Brady, Infantry, discusses his 2003 deployment to Iraq as a company commander, first of Delta Company, and then as the Headquarters and Headquarters Company (HHC) commander in 3-327th INF. MAJ Brady describes the movement to Kuwait, the obstacles they had to overcome in recovering equipment from the port, and his subsequent movement north into Iraq. MAJ Brady details his experiences being a company commander and the struggles he had in the numerous movements he and his company made throughout theater during this deployment. MAJ Brady concludes his interview by covering some important lessons he learned and incidents that occurred in his battalion and how things changed in theater by the time he left.
