In this interview, 1LT Stephen Kennedy, USAF, Joint Combat Assessment Team (JCAT) Research Engineer. 1LT Kennedy opens his interview by detailing the key parts of his job. He describes how he conducts post-battle damage assessment on all Joint aircraft as to the type of weapon system and damage to aircraft. Kennedy would then report his information to the unit commander, and also provide the report to JCAT engineers in the United States. The JCAT engineers would assess Kennedy’s data in order to help improve aircraft survivability following a hostile weapon system engagement. 1LT Kennedy closes the discussion by noting his job supported all Joint Aviation assets in theater.
