MAJ Valero Aquino, Jr. served as the brigade signal officer (S6) with 3rd Brigade, 82nd Airborne Division in Baghdad, Iraq during 2008 and 2009 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF). In this May 2010 interview, MAJ Aquino discusses the challenges of his deployment, the "always on" status of signal Soldiers, and having to pick up and move his communications equipment from Forward Operating Base (FOB) Loyalty to FOB Hammer.
