MAJ Efren Morados served as the battalion executive officer (XO) with the 10th Infantry, 104th Brigade of the Philippine Army during various engagements against the New People's Army, the military wing of the Communist Party of the Philippines, the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF), and the Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG). In this November 2009 interview, MAJ Morados gives a brief history of the Philippines and its various foreign occupations and changes in religious makeup, and ties the work that the Philippine Army is doing against MILF and other groups in the Global War on Terror. MAJ Morados concludes his interview with a statement of appreciation for all the assistance the government of the United States is providing for this ongoing mission.
