MAJ Bat-Erdene Batkhuu served as the assistant operations officer (S3) with the Armed Forces of Mongolia during 2006 and 2007 in Baghdad, Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF). In the second of two January 2009 interviews, MAJ Batkhuu briefly discusses a typical day in Iraq for his soldiers and the challenges of working in a multi-lingual environment. MAJ Batkhuu concludes his interview by stating, "[T] his time I was so proud of my soldiers. They were all selected for this mission and our selection was good. The soldiers all were willing to serve and they were the perfect soldiers. I'm really proud of them."
