In the third of three interviews, MAJ Bill Dougherty discusses his second deployment to Iraq in April of 2005 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. MAJ Dougherty talks about the differences in his two deployments to Iraq, the deficiencies in their training due to time constraints, and the variety of missions his company went out on. MAJ Dougherty details his work with the Iraqi Army and the military transition team co-located with his company and his relationship with the civilians in his battle space. Lastly, MAJ Dougherty discusses the importance of counterinsurgency operations.
