In this first of three interviews, MAJ Bill Dougherty discusses his two-month deployment to Afghanistan in May of 2002 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. MAJ Dougherty talks about the fact that his predeployment training prepared him well for his mission and his environment, and briefly talks about his unexpected liaison duties.
