Lieutenant Commander Chris Stone served onboard the USS Valley Forge as the combat systems officer from December 2002 through May 2003 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. In this interview, he talks about providing command and control for initial operations against the offshore oil platforms, inspection of all vessels in the Gulf, providing logistical support to other ships, and embedded media during naval operations. Stone closes the interview by describing their voyage home and their reception back at San Diego.
