In the year 2009, the Slovenian Army Force received code of ethics which was adopted under the law on service by the government. The purpose of the Code of Military Ethics is that the Slovenian army Force abides by certain ethical norms and principles. By signing the declaration to accept the code, the members undertake to respect the provisions of the Code of Military Ethics. However, mandatory signing of statements to exercise the Code of Military Ethics is not enough. Code of military ethics is the fundamental guideline of the Slovenian Army Force. Our Code of Military Ethics tells us on clear and simple way, what should be a member of the Slovenian Army Force, how to proceed in their actions, and which values the Slovenian Army Force particularly appreciate. Code of Military Ethics does not refer only to the time when we wear the uniform. It is a guide on how to work, behave and live even when we are not in it. The Code of Military Ethics sets out our objectives, but also provides the criteria by which we evaluate ourselves, and our estimate of the public. Implementation of standards in the Code of Military Ethics should be the goal of every individual in the Army, which must internalize its contents, while they should be for their high moral and ethical standards for members of the Slovenian Army Force recognized in public.
