History serves the foundation experience. By understanding military history leaders can better synthesize modern experiences resulting sound judgments. This dynamic view of history should not be limited to battles but must include a review of the use of the force as a whole in this period of continuous conflict. As the Army transforms it during a period of limited resources an historic view of the employment of the total of force is essential to sustain a responsive efficient force. This paper reviews the history of the Army finance Corp contrasted against modern day operations recounting lessoned learned throughout history.
