In October of 2009, I found out I was a last minute replacement for the first Agribusiness Development Team (ADT) for the Indiana National Guard. This would prove to be a very exciting deployment because we were the first ADT from Indiana. This paper describes some of my personal experiences prior to this deployment and our processes as the first ADT in Khowst province, Afghanistan.
