This personal experience paper is about the daily struggles associated with transitioning Iraqi National Police to self-reliance and developing relationships between coalition forces, the Iraqi Army and other security forces in Baghdad, Iraq. Building a strong relationship and trust within each organization is a daily task. One small incident or task can make or break the effort. January 2006, "The Year of the Police", as quoted many times in Taji, Iraq sets the stage for one soldier's personal experience as the primary trainer for one Division, and two Battalions of Iraqi National Police.
