Quartermaster soldiers over the years received a bad reputation for being rear area soldiers. This is a stereotype that is unfair and unwarranted. In WWII quartermaster soldiers fought alongside combat soldiers and ensured they had the equipment needed to fight and win the war and ensured that the morale and performance of al soldiers was maintained through selfless support in time of war.
