This paper is a first person account of the experiences my unit and I encountered during Operation DESERT SHIELD and DESERT STORM. The paper is chronologically sequenced and divided into phases. Included at the end of each phase is a section that informs the reader what I thought were the significant issues or observations that occurred during that time or phase. This intent of this paper is to capture my thoughts and experiences in order to prevent them from occurring at another time.
