Ethical dilemmas challenge the United States Army and its Soldiers daily due to today's current world situation. Often Soldiers identify the challenges and solve the problem instantly without applying the ethical reasoning process defined in FM 22-100. However, at the senior level, leaders must use the four step process of defining the problem, know the relevant rules, develop and evaluate the courses of actions, and choose the course of action that best represents the Army values.
