As leaders we need to compare and contrast the military operations in Iraq with the military operations during the Indian Wars to gain a greater understanding of the failures that can occur due to a lack of cultural understanding. Throughout the discussion in this paper I will try to analyze the significant factors of both the positive aspects and negative aspects of the Indian Wars and how these factors directly relate to the Operations in Iraq. The conclusion will compare in summary the lessons learned from the two operations.
