Even though actionable intelligence in WWII (Philippines) followed by the Korean War was limited, valuable lessons were learned, should the US Army want to achieve mission success in obtaining actionable intelligence on future battlefields, what techniques and technology will be favored by units? As we move farther away from the events of 9/11 and continue to prosecute the war on terrorism throughout the world in places like in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere there must be drastic changes in the demanding challenges in countering extremist enemies in highly complex environments. Our counter-terrorism and counter-insurgency operations must reflect the tough challenges inherent as part of US Army's efforts to increase full spectrum operational capacity at the Brigade Combat Team (BCT) level.
