Assigned at the Human Resource Command (HRC) supporting Soldiers in the career management field mentally challenged my ethical decision-making process while assigning Soldiers worldwide. I dealt with the personal controversy of the HRC SGM feeling threaten that his position and authority being questioned due to a Memorandum of Agreement signed by the CMF Generals and SGMs of CMFs 56, 46, 74 and band. How did this job better prepare me for future assignments? It helped me to deal with politics at the highest level. How do I apply my personal values to the situations that made me successful on my departure from this assignment? Soldiers in my CMF were not privy to all the personal grief I endured but I stood strong, maintained my professionalism and continued to support and assign Soldiers and families throughout the world during this very critical time of war and transformation.
