I am a strong believer in ethical behavior. This belief stems back to my upbringing and the influences I have encountered in the United States Army. I believe ethical behavior applies in all aspects of our daily lives. This includes how we treat one another as well as how we treat our society. The specific portion of our society that I will examine is journalism and how one can view their behavior as unethical. In particular, I will discuss journalists and members of the media that twist the news into sound bites meant solely to make our leaders look incompetent, thus making our great nation appear divided. To begin, let us examine the definition of ethics so that we all have the same understanding.
