The Battle of Changjin Reservoir, also known as the Chosin Reservoir, had significant importance impacting the result the Korean War. The Changjin Reservoir, a major battle location of the war, is where the Chinese Communist Forces attacked the advancing American led United Nations Coalition (UNC) forces. A brutal battle in bitter cold and unforgiving terrain followed inflicting large numbers of Chinese casualties. But the UNC troops were forced to withdraw from the Changjin Province and eventually evacuate North Korea. Today's advanced technology may have impacted the Battle of Changjin Reservoir, minimizing effects of weather and terrain, by giving Commanders an advantage on the battlefield.
